Classic Hamburger Recipe



This classic hamburger is made with only 4 ingredients and can be grilled or cooked on the stove top!


INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lb ground chuck 80/20
  • 1 tablespoon onion grated
  • 2-3 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • salt & pepper
  • 4 rolls
PREP TIME 20 minutes
COOK TIME 10 minutes
TOTAL TIME 30 minutes

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix beef, onion and Worcestershire in a bowl just until combined.
  2. Gently shape into 4 patties, about 3/4" thick. Using your thumb, create an indent in the centre of each burger.
  3. Refrigerate at least 20 minutes before cooking.
To Grill
  1. Preheat grill to medium heat.
  2. Season the outside of the burgers with salt & pepper to taste.
  3. Cook burgers about 4-6 minutes per side or until they reach 160°F.
  4. Rest 5 minutes. Serve on toasted sesame seed rolls.
To Cook on the Stove Top
  1. Heat a cast-iron pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the outside of the burgers with salt & pepper to taste.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil to the pan. Add the beef patties and cook 5-6 minutes per side or until they reach 160°F.
